Referral commission: 2% of the contract value for your building tip
You know about the project. We build it. You earn a share.
A tenement building due for renovation, a loft about to be converted, a bathroom that has been waiting years for a makeover: anyone who works or lives around building projects is often the first to hear about them. Pass the tip on to Skyline Bau. If a building contract results, you receive 2% of the net contract value – no contract in advance, no minimum amount, no upper limit.
The referral programme in figures
What is a referrer?
A referrer does not broker a contract and does not negotiate – they simply make the contact. That is exactly what makes the model simple: you tell us about a client with a specific project, and we take care of the site visit, cost estimate, quotation and execution. Your part ends when you submit the form.
Why do we pay for this? Because most good building contracts come about through recommendations. A client who gets to know us through someone they trust asks more focused questions, decides faster and stays satisfied for longer. We share this advantage with the person who paved the way – with 2% of the net contract value.
Typical referrers are property management companies, estate agents, architects and planners, tradespeople from other trades, tax advisers, owners in owners' associations – and people who simply notice that a renovation is coming up in the building next door.
How it works in three steps
1. Submit a tip
You fill in the form: your details, the client and what you know about the project. You immediately receive a confirmation with a tip number by email.
2. We take over
We contact the client, inspect the property, prepare a transparent cost estimate and a written quotation. Your name is only mentioned if you wish.
3. Receive your commission
Once the contract is awarded and paid, we transfer 2% of the net contract value. For projects with interim invoices, we pay pro rata after each paid interim invoice.
Worked examples: 2% net
The basis is the net contract value as invoiced by Skyline Bau – excluding VAT and excluding any services the client commissions or provides themselves. The examples show typical amounts in Vienna.
| Project | Net contract value | Your commission (2%) |
|---|---|---|
| Bathroom renovation in a flat | €28,000 | €560 |
| Riser pipe replacement in a tenement building (8 flats) | €190,000 | €3,800 |
| Loft conversion 120 m² | €310,000 | €6,200 |
| Facade renovation with thermal insulation | €145,000 | €2,900 |
| Tenement building renovation, complete | €600,000 | €12,000 |
Why 2% in particular? Building projects have high contract values with tight margins: materials, disposal, scaffolding and skilled staff account for most of the costs. 2% is an amount that is noticeable on large projects and still does not cost the client a single cent more – Skyline Bau pays the commission out of its own calculation.
Conditions clearly set out
New client
The client has not made an enquiry of their own to Skyline Bau in the last 12 months and is not an existing customer.
Contract and payment
The commission only arises once the contract has been awarded, carried out and paid. A quotation or a site visit alone does not create any entitlement.
First tip counts
If the same project is reported more than once, the tip received first applies. The tip number in your confirmation serves as proof.
Consent
Please only report clients who agree to being contacted. Your own projects are excluded as tips.
Payout
By bank transfer, usually within 14 days of receipt of payment. Companies issue an invoice; private individuals provide their IBAN.
No representation
As a referrer, you do not act on behalf of Skyline Bau and do not promise the client any prices or dates – we take care of that.

Frequently asked questions about the referral programme
Who can become a referrer?
Any person of legal age and any company: property management companies, estate agents, architects, owners, tradespeople or neighbours. No registration or contract in advance is required.
How much do I receive?
2% of the net contract value of the building contract that results from your tip. For a bathroom renovation at €28,000 net, that is €560; for a tenement building renovation at €600,000 net, it is €12,000.
What is the net contract value?
The amount the client pays according to the final invoice for the work carried out by Skyline Bau, excluding VAT. Subsidies, third-party services commissioned by the client and materials supplied by the client are not included.
When is the commission paid out?
After the client has paid the final invoice, usually within 14 days. For large projects with interim invoices, we pay pro rata after each paid interim invoice.
Which projects count?
All building work carried out by Skyline Bau: period and tenement building renovation, loft conversion, bathroom renovation and riser pipe replacement, facades, conversions, extensions, demolition and paving – in Vienna and the surrounding area.
Do I have to be present at the meeting?
No. You give us the contact and a short description, and we do the rest. If you wish, we will mention your name as a recommendation.
What if the contact is already with us?
Then the tip does not count. What matters is that the client has not made an enquiry of their own to Skyline Bau in the last 12 months. If a project is reported more than once, the first tip counts.
Do I have to pay tax on the commission?
For companies, the commission is business income, and they issue us an invoice. Private individuals pay tax on it as other income; in Austria, such income is tax-free up to €220 a year.
